I've got Gareth coming to fit it to my 2001 S3 on the 15th. A bargain at £149 for mine. He is a trained VAG technician as well, so should do a good job. Also mobile as well.

Cheers,

Alistair

I guess there is more labour and/or more expensive parts needed.

I did this to my A4 a couple of weeks ago, its pretty easy all in all, do a search and you should find my thread which links to a pictorial explanation of how to do it. You need a new stalk, control module & a new steering column cowl for underneath, not forgettting a registered copy of vagcom for the coding. I got my parts from vagparts.com & cost £150 for the bits.

Gareth fitted mine over the bank holiday weekend in 45 mins on the drive for £225. www.hazzydayz.com (http://www.hazzydayz.com/), or ebay.

My local so called Audi specialist said it would cost £352 plus vehicles fitted without a multi-function steering wheel will require additional parts at an extra cost of £117.50.
Total £469.50 in all.......Yeah right.

Stick with Gareth you can't go wrong.

Forgot to mention that they state on their website that it will take 4-5 hours to fit........I think they may have got confused with a Cambelt and Cruise Control.

Easy mistake! (not)
