Im having a bit of a problem with parts for my car.
Every where I look (Including this Forum) tells me that a 1985 is a MK2 but whenever I purchase parts based on a MK2 they are always wrong and seems to me that the main parts seem to be more for MK1.
I have just purchased a complete wiper mechanism for my car on the understanding that its a MK2 I fitted it and then when I went to reattach the wiper arms they do not fit the bolt on which the arms slot on too are bigger than the original.
So I guess what I need to know is, is there a cross over of MK1 and Mk2 parts in the production of a 1985 golf???
And also does anyone know if the wiper bolt is bigger on a MK2 than on a MK1?
