Golf Mk4 Rear Bulbs

I am having problems replacing the rear offside light bulb on my girlfriends mk4, As an owner of older cars all my life, which have been generally more user friendly than this one, i am used to fixing things lke light bulbs quickly. Any advice would be much appreciated.

What's giving you the problem? You undo the panel inside the boot, there's two clips either side of the light housing, squeeze them together and pull, and it's out.
