Hi everyone I have 2004 audi a3 20ltr tdi, I rencently purchased a OB2 lead off ebay, version 409.1. I can comnuniate with engine controller but with no other controllers. Any body got any ideas??

I would guess your cable does not support CAN BUS, you can still ID the engine ecu via the Kline as this is EOBD2/OBD legislation but you can not carry out full functions.
Get yourself a HEX CAN or MICRO CAN interface and it will work.

i have the same problem so far everything has worked with me but when i was checking the wifes golf it wouldnt let me into the engine but everything else i tried worked

Many thanks for the reply. I had heard that it might be can bus, but I was hoping I could change some setting on vag com to get it to work??
I'll contact the supplier of the lead to change it to a can bus one an see if that works.
