Polo trims (Wheel covers) compability

I have a 2001 Polo, and last night someone in street removed all four of wheel cover of my car. I contacted a seller on ebay, but he's telling he got the covers for 2002 onwards model, so he's not sure if it fits on my 2001 model.....can anybody help me with that as the price he's offering is a bargain for me. Or any other place where i can by genuine and cheap trims.
