Hi,

I've got a 1.9Tdi A3, 2006.

Its 41 days or 1100 miles of its first service (current mileage approx 17500).

Just phoned my local dealer (East Kent Audi) and was staggered to find that the 1st Service will cost in the region of £300 to £330!

Is this about right? I thought it an 'Interval Service' i.e Oil and Filter etc?

Regards,

Mr Aloof.

Sounds about right. Before my A6, I had a Mercedes A160 CDI that I was considering getting rid of for an A6. However it had just racked up 10k so I thought I would get it serviced before selling, I also thought though I am fully capable of servicing it myself, it might put the value of the car up if I kept it as full Merc service history by sending it to Mercedes. They charged me £500! And, they didn't even change the air filter! All they did was replace the pollen filter, oil, a valet and gave it a wash and an air freshener. Well it didn't stink and it wasn't particularly dirty either so as you would expect I was pretty disappointed.
