Ambient temperature readout going crazy

Hi

I've got a Golf IV GT TDI 130 which has recently been remapped to 185bhp.

Today when I started the car the dash ambient temprature was readding 7 degrees, then after a few minutes there was a beep and when I looked down the temprate had droped to -1.5 degrees and the snowflake icon appeared then it started free falling to -50 degrees then it started to climb to 8.5 degrees then back down again. The temprature readout just keeps going down and then up all the time know.

Any ideas as to what the problem is with my car and if it has anything to do with the remap?

Wouldn't of thought the remap would cause this but you never know. Sounds more like the Temp Sensor is faulty which is situated inside the front bumper...

I think your right it's something to do with the senor. Strange thing is that is working properly again now.
