Hi
I have just joined the forum - I own a VW 2002 Passat Estate Diesel and its beginning to show its age. Have just popped to the garage to fill it up and find
a metal bar will not move out of the way to allow me to fill up. Rang the VW dealer who said they had no idea what this could be. Also a warning light has come on saying I have an air bag fault - beginning to think I may need some expert advice as every time I take the car in to the garage they tell me how old it is and that I ought to replace it. Indeed the dealer before last tried to fleece me claiming I had a cracked radiator and various other problems which when I took the car elsewhere turned out not to exist (cracked radiator) or to have far cheaper solutions than complete replacement as recommended by the garage.
