just bought a cordoba 1.9 se tdi at auction and as soon as i drove it away i noticed the turbo cut out and there was loads of black smoke coming from exhaust. got it home and unplugged the sensor after the air filter . stopped the smoke but the turbo keeps cutting out after about 3k rpm. the problem fixes itself after turning car off and back on again. has any1 had this problem with theirs and hav they got any ideas on how 2 correct it. cheers:biglaugh: does this car have a MAF and MAP sensor or just a MAP?

I had the same problem with the 90 BHP TDi engine in a MK111 Golf.

The wate gate valve had carbon on it after removing Turbo and cleaning watse gate valve it was ok.

Hope this helps.
