WOW what a superb job how long did it take to get it to that finish?

7 hours, starting with snow foam, followed by wash, followed by clay bar, followed by wash, followed by HD cleanse, followed by Zymol Carbon, followed by quick detailer and a microfibre.......with buckets of elbow grease!! ;)

As well as the numerous other products I used on the engine, the door jams, the wheels and tryes....... :Blush2:

How long will it stay looking like that and what maintenance will it need?

The Zymol Carbon last 6-9 months between top ups. (That was on my Boxster). I used to wash that weekly with Zymol autowash with a washmitt and dry with a Sonus waffle weave drying towel. Then buff any watermarkes out with Megs quick detailer spray.

The beading of the water on the paintwork is amazing, and will keep doing that unless she is really dirty for 6 - 9 months!! :biglaugh:

Thank you for such a detailed reply:beerchug:

Obviously the Zymol is the real deal, but having never seen a washmitt or a Sonus waffle, whats your opinion of the need for them?

I clearly have an awful lot to learn, just last week I bought some of the microfiber cloths and found they make windows really shine nicely and appear to be good for the paintwork as well.
How would my Microfiber cloths stack up against your cloths?

I'm sort of wanting to get a better finish that lasts, but as said before I have a disability that causes me pain I can't physically do more than 15-20 mins at a time before I'm worn out it normally takes me 3 days to wax my VW Sharan.
So thinking the Zymol could be the product for me because of it's longevity.

Thanks again.

The purpoose of the washmitt is to stop grit getting stuck as the fibres are much longer. Using a spone, the grit gets stuck at the surface and then you wipe it into the paint work!! I bought the Megs one for £9 from Halfwitts.

The sonus waffle weave is just a large towel, which can dry the whole car far better than a shamois leather. I bought mine from Ebay for £7.

Microfibres are pretty standard, apart from Zymol ones which must be different as they are £18 a go!! :aargh4:

With everything you have said, Zymol does sound right for you, but the kit is £110 a pop, but then my kit has lasted me 3 years so far, and I have done a fair few cars with it! It includes everything you need includding cloths, applicators, wash solutions, leather treatment and obviously the cleanse and wax.

I would strongly reccomend using a clay bar as well as you would be very suprised about the results.

Please dont get me wrong - i am no expert by a long way - I have just collected a lot of products and read a lot of advice from other forums!! :beerchug:
