hi im a new member, currently got a mk3 golf gti but iv bought a mk2 golf gti as a bit of a project its a 16v, F reg, black and rusty at the minute and im taking the engine out soon all being well, was planning a standard rebuild ...... but got a few questions to ask....
what parts are prone to wearing and breaking and worth replacing while the engine is out?
wot will the standard parts take strength wise??
what sort of BHP will the head, valves, cams etc flow?
what would be the best parts to use, could i use parts from later engine that would be better/stronger?
any help would be apprecieated
