Would i be able to fit 18" alloys on my mk3 golf if its lowered 60 mm all round, the tyres are 235/35/18, also i would be willing to do some arch work if needed, thanks hadley

Should fit ok but you may need to roll the arches on the back/front. Dont go any wider than 7.5-8" on the front. It is good you opted for a low profile tyre as it might give you the few mm you need. Expect a harsh ride though and make shure you dont carry mates in the back or heavy I.C.E or the car will bottom out. While you at it fit somme Powerflex polyurethane bump stops as the ordinary rubber ones wont last long with a stiffened suspensioon.

thanks that is very helpful, only prob is the alloys come in a set with the tyres so the front will be same width as the back so ill just have to see how it goes i may have to put some spacers in. thanks hadley

will 18s fit if you have normal suspension without lowering?
would they rub with 3 ppl in the back and a sub in the boot?

my golf will sometimes bottom out with 3 people in the back and no sub with standard wheels and suspention, but im putting it down to the fact that the springs are 12years old and are really soft. so u mite be alrite if your standard springs are good condition. hadley
