I have a 1.4 Ibiza Formula Sport, 3 months old and about 3000 miles. I went out for a short drive and on starting off somewhere else the EPC light and the Emission Control System light stayed on. I stopped briefly somewhere else and when I started up again after that the EPC light had gone out, but the Emission Control System light was still on.
I don't know what to do about this, as I'm in North Wales visiting a friend at the moment, and it's Easter - I haven't recently done only short journeys as the drive here yesterday was over 300 miles, so am worried it's a more serious problem. However, I have no idea where the nearest garage is or how to get there and they won't be open over the bank holiday anyway.
Should I just assume that it's okay and drive home back the 300 miles home tomorrow, or should I try and find someone to have a look at the engine first? I really don't want to casue any damage. Any help will be very much appreciated, as I don't know much about these things!
