:zx11: i have 1999.5 jetta wich i swapped the stock 2.0 to a 2000 golf 1.8t rewired the whole vehicle and all the goodies inbetween and then the car would not run for anything longer than 2 sec. i was told by a snap-on dealer that the mt2500 scanner will immobilize the vehicle with the new swapped ecu but what snapon did not tell me is that for imm-2 you need a 4 digit security code to login to gain access to imm of the vehicle which totally sucks i bought the scanner to imm the vehicle so i would not have to take it to the dealer on a roll back and pay them a 100.00 to do it yanno anyways i found a site that may help people out ther so they can swap ecu ect.. without having to take it to the dealer http://www.vag-info.com/
