Using a genuine VAG-COM lead and the latest software I have been checking the coding for my central convenience unit and got the value 00258.
On the Ross Tech site this is said to be

Central locking (2-power windows and memory):
00258 - Selective unlocking
00259 - Unlocking of all doors

I have a Bora with 4 power windows and no seat memory so I am a little confused as it should read 04096

Central locking (4-power windows):
04096 - Selective unlocking
04097 - Unlocking of all doors

Can anyone explain this ?

Also in the thread by Marco34 shows a list of what codes were active, how can you see this list ?

Hi
I also wanted central locking at speed. This requires some calculation in Binary mode, but very easy.

46 - Central Conv - Coding-07 - Original Val 6859 New Val 6891

The following codes were active on my car. I simply added 32 to the orginal value and the doors now auto lock. Equally, by removing a Binary for the total value you would disable that function.

BinaryFunction 1GB Alarm
2 Anti theft warning bleep
8 Anti theft warning system
32 Auto Central Locking at 15 mph
64 Comfort function via remote control
128 Right hand drive
512 Confirmation close via remote
2048 Door/Window regulator logic
4096 Thatchem anti-theft warning

Hope this may help some of you. As I said, it is documented throughout the internet but we may as well build up a database of common changes that are easy to locate.

Regards
Mark

i upped this to 00259 and the doors all unlock and lock with 1 click.

what i did find was when i logged back in the code had changed from 00259 to something else ( i cant remember as didnt take a screen dump at the time )

if i get a chance later i will go find out the code of my car as the wifes wanting her golf unlocking with 1 click

The info quoted above from Marco34 is for an Audi A4 and does not apply to a Bora. The module in the Mk.4 VW Golf/Bora is a completely different animal than the one in an Audi A4.

If your stock coding is 00258 and you want to get single-click unlocking of all doors, just increase it to 00259.

The other convenience options on the Mk.4 Golf/Bora modules are in the Adaptation Channels.
