Greetings all,
I have recently acquired a 130,000 mile A4 turbo sport that looks a little worse for wear but has a nice-sounding 75,000 mile engine donated I believe by an A6. The car drives well-though I already yearn for some extra power (any ideas)- but there are a couple of electrical problems that I would like to get sorted: remote opening does not work, elec windows sometimes open automatically and the reception for the radio is really bad. A more recent development of petrol fumes in inside the car-see posting- is a little more worrying!
I don't know a lot about the nut's 'n bolts stuff of cars but the experiences of 3 motorcyles and 7 cars on a limited budget over the last 12 years has given me quite a large repository of information on the tell-tale signs for some of more major pitfalls that can affect the average car; so hopefully I can be of help to some of you.
