MkII Golf Windscreen

Need a windscreen for the old MkII, it's hard to find one in the local scrappies i have been told that the windscreen from the old MkIII polo coupe fits either the MkI or II but the guy who told me couldnt remember which. Does anyone know if theres another VW windscreen that fits the Golf MkII, another VW might be easier to find.

After reading your other post about the car being out of tax and MOT my solution would not be any use to you.
If I had a damaged windscreen, I would normally put a brick through it and call my insurance to sort it.
Obviously not an option for you.

thanks for the reply but now that i've picked myself up off the floor from laughing, that solution wouldnt work for me even if it was still on the road as my insurance doesnt cover the windscreen. doh. think a new windscreen might be round 150 quid but the car will be off the road for about a month so not in too much of a rush to get one.
