first of all hello to everyone from a newbie:o

Right i have a audi 2005 tdi with 79000 miles. the engine will not start due to no feed to the fuel pump in the tank, the tandem pump i assume works fine as if a squirt easy start into the engine it eventually starts and runs but if a rev the engine above 3000rpm it cuts out and will not restart.

the problem i have is that the cooling fans have also started to cut in and out constant when the car is locked along with a constant clicking in the inlet manifold until the battery goes flat.

i have connected a vagcom to the diagnostics but there is no active codes only history codes as below

No3 cylinder intermitment mis-fire
fuel pump relay open circuit

does anyone know if the circuits to the cooling fans and fuel are related?

Right with the mutli plug on the fuel pump dis-connected i'm getting 12volts but as soon as its re-connected it drops down to 5volts. which seems like a bad connection somewere.
does anyone know were the fuel pump relay is located ?

Got round to having another look at the car today, checked the location of the fuel relay and the box is full of rain water both relays full of water:mad:.
