Hi everyone, new here.
I have my brother in law's Mk4 Golf GTi in to renovate and correct the paintwork. I have searched the threads for this but it seems a common problem on these cars. The tailgate lock was seized solid.
From these forums I managed to find out how to get the tailgate open and I have also managed to free off the lock with WD40 and a lot of patience.
The issue I now have is that the lock will open with anything at all, even a screwdriver. I have managed to get the lock assembly off the handle plate but I cannot see how to strip down the barrel so I can free off the tumblers.
Does anyone have an exploded diagram of this please?
