Fault codes that need a cure!

Hi all, just recently got my e bay lead working (Thanks for the great help), 3 faults found.
1. Sensor Oil level/temp(G266) 30-10 open or short to B+ Intermittant
Is this the sensor at the base of the sump or is it the oil temp sender sensor

2. 00550 Start of ignition Regulation 17-10 Control Difference Intermittant
Cleared fault but keeps re appearing after each re start.

3. Last but by no means least!!
Load signal Error message from ecu P1857-35-10 Intermittant

Number 3 happens only when driving under 50mph and usually when your coasting(not applying accelerater) and results in the triptronic box going into limp mode and requires me to pull over and re start to re set it.

The car is an 2000 A6 2.5 TDI Quattro engine code AFB:1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp::1zhelp:

I have heavy problem with start in warm condition and I suspected this 550 might be the reason...

well im also having the same codes on a a6 tdi afb engine without finding out yet what exactly is going on

but there are quite afew reasons thease 2 codes apeaer and could be checked


1) pump timing
2)air in fuel lines (change the one way valve on the fuel filter or check line for leaks,this is when you also having problems at cold start or rough warm up)
3)needle lift sensor located on rear injector right bank
4)start of injection solenoid( in the pump)

could s.o. here post or send a picture of this needle lift sensor or injection solenoid so that i know which part exactly it is

from looking around it seems that to cure the lift needle, you have to replace the injector at £400 ???

seems like an expense job... mines just come up with this fault.

However no running issues at present,,... except it sounds like a tractor and sometimes takes a while to start.

has anyone fixed there injector?

my investigation about the 'code 00550 Start Injection Regulation'seems to leed to a problem in the regulation of the injection pump so the moment when the pump injects the fuel is wrong in my car this code appear when i change the belts :beerchug:
