Hi there.
I have a 97 mk4 polo, 65,000 miles on the clock.
I recently replaced the gearbox and since then i have been having a problem with the cooling system.
The car runs well, no signs of blown head gasket (no white smoke from exhaust, no visible water in oil), however I am loosing coolant at quite a high rate when the car is being driven (1-2 litres per 50-70 miles or so). If the car hasnt been driven for a few days, the cooling system appears to remain pressurised, and coolant level stays constant
The heater blows cold air at low engine revs (below 2k) and hot air at high revs. However the engine itself has never overheated.
Any ideas?
