Hi there, does anyone have any ideas of likely cause of interior water leak. Carpet on both sides of transmission tunnel was saturated whilst parked for a few weeks. It's a '91 mk11. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Sunroof drains, check the scuttle panel for leaves and standing water if full it will get into the car via the bulkhead grommets, also the door seals.

I have an issue at the moment on mine with wet carpets on the drivers side.

I know its a diffferent car, but on my readings I have found it could be caused by one of the following.

1. leaking washer water, check pipes
2. door seals are out of place or need replacing
3. water coming in through bulk head (most commom)
4. heater matrix is leaking
5. pollen filter is clogged, check for leaves and debris

Im going to seal all of the entrances to the inside of the car later with silicone at the front of the car.
