:mad: Hi all ,just thought i,d see if anybody has had a simlar problem to me with there 1.8t engine.traveling along at 70mph, low oil pressure light came on,looked behind to see a james bond smoke screen(that bad the cops where already on the way!) got it towed to local vag specialist only to be told that the turbo seals had gone,emptied the sump of oil down the exhaust and knackered it big time! Its got full audi service history and only done 70,0000. does anybody have a avj engine for sale!
UPDATE:
Been advised by a audi specialist that they have a few 1.8turbo,s pop at 70k due to oil feed pipe to turbo being too small ! Yes audi have modified it to prevent this happening,how nice of them not to have modified mine! anyway found a 20k engine and its back running with a new turbo and feed pipe and complete exhaust system
