I'm about to put some alloy wheels from my late 306 on eBay. They've been sat in the back garden for a bit in a stack and all the brake dust and grease has ran on to the tyres at the bottom.

What's best for shifting it? I'd rather not spend money on a fancy alloy wheel cleaner if there is a household cleaner I can use instead.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Thanks gents. I was considering Mr Muscle (useful for removing oil stains from your driveway) or something similar. I don't want to spend too much as I don't think I'll get a great deal for them on eBay.

Come to think of it, I do have some BBQ cleaner in the shed....

I used it the other day - I needed a lot of it and used plenty of elbow grease and I've got most of the muck off.
