G reg clipper faulty hood

hello, i have a g reg clipper only got it today and the power hood refuses to work,there is a clicking of the relays in the boot but thats about it,can anyone point me in the right direction

Ignition switch fault. If it thinks the key is still in, it won't operate.

thanks,it has had new barrel fitted,switch might have been tampered with,do i have to repair that or can it be bypassed?

You would bypass a safety system for the sake of looking cool?

the hood is currently stuck down,so it would be a pain to wait for switch as dont have garage

thanks i think i have sorted it,just got in its freezing out,ignition was fine so looked at fuse box.Has had replacement loom but roof wasnt connected to it,reconected the roof wiring and now it works(with out the key) thanks for help,will mail you as got one spare wire still
