Hi,

I have a 2001 Audi TT, it has only done 15,000 miles. I know it's been 5 years, but do I need to change my cambelt as my mileage is relatively low? Any ideas would be appreciated, thanking you in advance.

AS FAR AS I KNOW THE RECOMMENDED TIME TO CHANGE THE CAMBELT IS 80,000 MILES OR FOUR YEARS WHICH EVER IS SOONER

HOPE THATS A HELP

got to agree with boardboy, cheaper to relace the belts AND tensioners AND rollers than the engine, also on some VAG engines, you have to remove the cambelt to do the waterpump, not sure if this applies to your engine though, but might be worth checking out as siesed water pumps can snap belts and as a part dont really cost much for peace of mind, but you dont want to pay for cambelt removal twice, once to routinely change and once for the w/pump.
