golf mk3 gti 8v oil light flashing

hi there,

can any body help me with a question about the oil light on my dash, it comes on and flashes when the key is inserted but as soon as i crack the car up it goes out and doesnt come back on at all. only got the car last week and defo needs a service as the code on the dash suggests, is the oil light something to do with that or could it be something else?

Ok my 1.4 cl was doin this but when i started it and ran it for 2minz it would flash n beep. turned out to be oil pressure switch so maybe something to do wih that.

Hello chap

The light is designed to do that as long as it goes out when you start it then you have oil pressure so its all good! if it comes on whilst driving then you have oil problems like NO presure so stop.

I Have Now Solved The Problem After Having Spent Too Much Money Trying To Get It Sorted It Turned Out To Be The Ecu Relay Which I Got From Main Dealer For £11 And Replaced Myself, As Easy As That.
