I have just discovered the "Three" mobile phone network and want to get one of their phones to fit the factory fit cradle inside my 2006 Passat.
Does anyone have the list of phones that you can get cradles for?
The list used to be on the vdub web site but I cannot find it, I am either looking in the wrong place or they updated it.

Thanks in advance
Mark.

Is the kit in yours the Premium Telephone kit where the car acts as a mobile phone and takes remote control of your SIM Card (this system has a keypad that pops out of the dash). If it is then I don't know if the system can access a Three Network SIM card as the Nokia gear in the car doesn't like mine. If you just have a standard kit then I'd try Ebay or google your chosen handset. How ae you finding life with Three? I find their network coverage appalling.

No mine is the standard factory kit without the gizmo's but still using the VW cradles. It now looks like I will have to get it removed as VW have not updated the range of cradles and all the ones available (I now have the full list if anybody is interested) are old phones now.

I could nott find this list anywhere on the internet but managed to get it faxed from a dealer, (sorry we are talking Volkswagen) I mean" Retailer".

Motorola V500, V505, V523, V550, V600, V620, V635

Nokia 6020, 6021, 6310, 6021, 6310, 6310i, 6300, 6301, 3100, 3200, 6100,6220, 6230, 6230i, 6820, 6822, 7210, 6680, 6681, 6021, E50, 6151, 6233, 6234

Siemens S75, M75, S65, SP65, C55, M55, S55, S65, CX65, CX70

Sony Ericsson T610, T616, T618, T630, D750i, K750i, D750i, W800i, W810i

As for Three, too early to tell I have both Vodafone and Orange at the moment, both have their problems.

Anyone have any experiance of using the Parrot Minikit Bluetooth Car Kit?

Dunno if it's the same kit but I have a Parrot fitted in my Passat and it's pure, unmitigated RUBBISH. I will never have another one. It doesn't work, it's over-complicated, it makes horrible loud banging noises, it switches on randomly, it is nothing but an irritant. Even when a call comes in you still have to pick up the phone and press the green button because the Parrot remote doesn't work. It's garbage. Next time I will get the VW bluetooth option. In fact typing this I have decided to write to Parrot and tell them how rubbish it really is.

Think your being a bit harsh, I have a parrot ck3100 and its great - crystal clear, works very well through the stereo very well (mutes on calls, pauses the ipod etc).

I think most poorly performing parrots can be traced back to bad installs. At our company we have them all installed by the dealer and everyone's great
