Hiya mate,

give me chance LOL I need some time off ;)

for version 704 and newer, you need the official rosstech canbus cable i'm afraid, as it has built-in authentication

can anyone tell me if there is any advantage to 704 over 409 for my 2001 bora? otherwise I'll get a cable from eshrules. Do i then need to register the software so I can make changes (want to enable cruise control, changing unlocking to all doors, etc)?

cheers!

Difficult to say for DIY use on one car, I could not go back to 409.

Our cables include the software license (embedded in the cable so you can use the full version on any PC) free updates, full support, etc, etc.

Ask anyone who has bought one if they think the money was well spent or not.

Just don't use a car charger on your lap top!
