Tow Bar MK iii/iv

Hi everyone, I am looking at fitting a tow bar to my 02 mk iv golf. I have seen one for sale off a mk 111 and the guy says it will fit mine.

I was just wondering whether this is true or its going to give me problems

I think he is telling fibs and just wants to sell it !

Fitted one to mine (2000) last year, Westfalia with removable swan neck . Really easy to fit. You can't tell it has a towbar when swan neck is removed.:D

The guy that selling his is from a golf mk 111 cabrio and mine is a 3 door hatchback but mk iv.

I dont want any hassle in cutting bumper etc.

How much is he selling for. I paid £179 for mine all in and fitted my self. The only bumper cut is underneath so you don't see it.
