Rear lights and front lights

Well I want to get the rear light out of my 04 plate a3 and i am finding it a bit difficult, I have unscrewed the plug inside the boot but in the manual it just says to pull but there is nothing to hold onto to do this. I take it there is sme plugs holding it on but you need to pull hard to unclip these, i just thought i would ask to see i anyone has an usefull ideas,

Also I want to change my side lights and front indicators but you cant even get to them and in the manual it says to replace these lights you need to go to a audi dealer, iDo you know if you need to just remove the light unit, if thats the case, does anyone know how to do this.?

Rear lights have push plug fittings on. You have to wiggle it about, or maybe pry it out with a screwdriver on the edge towards the front of the car. But be careful of the paintwork lol.
You'll have to take the front bumper off to get the front lights out but im pretty sure you can get to the indicator without taking the unit out.
