Hi All,
I have an S4 B7 Advant and when I'm starting the engine from Cold, I can hear a kinda tick tick tick or rattle type noise coming from under the car.
I spoke to APS about this and they have told me it could be a small piece of plastic that sits between the Engine and Gearbox that tends to go on high milers, however I have only got 28k on the clock and the car is an 05 so 2 years old
I don't here the rattle when starting the engine warm, nor when driving... but my concern is that it's a masssive job to replace as the engine, gearbox needs to come out.
Can anybody tell me more about this piece of plastic that sits in between the engine and gearbox, apparently it is in the middle of a complex cog system?
Also I would be grateful if anybody knows if it could be something else? The sound is coming from the back of the engine area!!
