problem with sunroof cover

Hi all,

I have recently bought a MK4 Golf1.4S and one thing I have discovered is that the cover for the sunroof doesnt work. It will slide part way back and then wont go any further and now it wont slide back again so is stuck. Looks like on of the sliders on the side is broken as that was loose.

Can anybody suggest a way to fix this or explain what might be causing it to get stuck?
