you have probably been asked this before ( im not up on modern cars as i normally drive A/C vw's )....but here goes..... my other half has got a 97 golf cabriolet 1.8
the problem is that it takes ages to start in a morning..churning the engine over with foot on throttle, then when it is warm the idle speed is irratic.... also the revs sometimes stick at about 2k between gear changes...you can even physically feel the throttle pedal moving up and down on its own on the odd occasion !!
Would i be right in thinking that this could be a MAF sensor problem ??
