Ok folks. Recently picked up my A4 Avant sline 2.0TDI. Has 23K on the clock and has the Audi Long life oil in there.

Engine computer says 302 days till a service however I wouldnt mind refreshing the oil.

I was thinking about draining the long life and putting some nice stuff i.e. Mobil 1 etc etc. Whichever I research to be the best.

What oil do you use on your 2.0 TDI's?

I know the long life is good oil but I reckon more regular home serviced/good oil brand changes will be better.

Cheers,

T

My brother in law does tuning boxes etc for diesels and recommends 6000 mile oil and filter changes on locally used cars, for the price of a good oil £35 and a filter its cheap insurance and a lot cheaper than a new motor

I put Shell Helix Plus for diesel in mine. Runs perfectly. Just my 2 pennies worth.
