DTCs not supported

Hi evebody,

Greeting from Bulgaria. :)
First to say you got a very nice VAG dedicated board. :)

And now my problem:
After connecting two different cheap ebay cables to my 1998, 1.6, AEH, golf 4, I am able to read all available in my car modules except the Engine in the first tab which I need to read. The error I get is this:

No Faults Found
or DTCs not supported by controller
a communication error ocurred

It seems strange to me to be able to read other modules like ABS, auto transmission and not able to read this one.

Is this a cable problem or a software problem?

Any help is appreciated.

Try these suggestions (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/faq_2.html#2.5).

If none of that works, try a real interface instead of a fleaBay special..;-)
