thought id say hi as I haven't really said much on the site yet, this is my a4 after a nice clean. the only thing annoying me is the right height, its lower on the back than the front, dunno if the shocks are naffed

Check the bump stops above the dampers. Dampers themselves have no bearing on ride height, remove them (if that was practicable) and the ride height would not change. High pressure gas dampers have a very slight effect on rear ride height rest position but 99% of the rear ride height is dictated by the rear springs and damper mounted bump stops.
