Hi , firstly can i say im new to this so go easy on me and bear with me !! ok , I brought a brand new A4 avant s line special edition with loads of extras including the homelink system (gate and garage door opener) to which the car turned up in december 07(2 days b4 xmas, so great xmas pressie) . I have been trying to get the homelink to work on some gates , ive been doing everything right as it says in the manuals but not having any luck! So i decied to phone homelink in germany and to cut a long story short they said that reason it wont work with those particular gates was because the car has version 6 software on it (even though the gate system is 3 years old and the car is brand new) and i need version 7 software. So does anyone know how i get this version 7 and how can it be downloaded on to the car ?? I did try and ask a Audi garage but they didnt really know what i was going on about !!! So can anyone please please help ????? thanks alot Simon
