new beetle service reset

can anybody help me with information as to how to reset the service reminder light on my 2002 beetle dash

because of the cars age i get it serviced outside of vw dealerships, to save cash, but the reminder note just bugs me

If it is on longlife servicing you can only turn it off using diagnostic equipment. Check your service book it may well tell you in there.
