Hi everyone,

I just got my T4 2.0 back from the garage due to a loss of coolant. Problem was apparently thermostat housing leaking.

Now that s fine, except since the car came back from the garage I am having problem when starting on cold engine. Engine will start after one or two times but if I accelerate the engine goes wild and RPMs go up and down. in other words engine won t acccelerate in a linear fashion. The problem seems to stop once the engine is warm after a couple minutes

Any idea ?

Before going changing the thermostat housing never had such issues
Car has around 200,000km, new belts and water pump

thanks for your help

Straight back to the garage with it m8.
If the problem has been created by the repair get them to sort it.

disconnect battery for a while and the brain may reset itself and sort it out.I've been told it's best to leave it disconnected for a few hours. This may just be a load of rubbish, i'm no expert. Worth trying though.:biglaugh:
