tdi misfire

hello to all,hope someone can help
i have a cordoba 1.9 se(130 bhp) on a 52 plate with 50k on the clock.
it has recently devolped a misfire under accleration(mainly between 2 and 3 thousand rpm in 3rd 4th gear)the misfire takes the form of making the car stutter which can be quite severe.once up to speed it seems ok
any ideas as to the cause will be gratfully received

i did'nt think diesels had coil packs:confused:

neither dae aye lol take the engine cover off and look on the top of the head am sure they do tho;)

The best idea would be to get the ol' brain scanned for error codes which should hopefully pinpoint the fault, I would guess most likely to be either MAF, EGR or Turbo causing your problems.

coil packs on a diesel ??? injectors / injector wiring loom or cam shaft get it on a good scaner to find out
