I do not use tapes anymore and especially after reading about all the problems of this head unit model with the volume knob and need for chipset replacement, I am considering not to wait for my unit to get faulty and to get an after market new one. Could anybody help me with some of my questions?
- Will I have any connectivity problems for keeping existing BOSE amplifier and speakers?
- Is there any chance of keeping the existing CD changer operational with the new head?
- Any advice on a good model? I would like the new unit to have Bluetooth and MP3/iPod compatibility. I guess some integrated NAV system would be too much to ask! I also would like something not too funky... too many lights and flahsy colours would not look good in the traditional aspect of the dashboard.
