golf climatronic

Just got a golf TDI but I cannot seem to fathom the climatronic AC. It blows either hot air or cold air out without recognising the individual temperature settings.

If it is set to low then cold air comes Thro but if its set to just 16 C it throws out hot air constantly and does not observe the temp settings

VW have done a diagnostic on the car and they say its okay.
Should I get a second opinion or am I doing something wrong

Get someone to scan your car and ask for a list or make a note of the fault codes. Does the display flash repeatedly after you start the engine? If there are faults logged in the memory post them on the forum. I think the air mix/temp regulating flap(motor) its stuck or works intermitent(expensive at the dealer). All individual flaps/positioning motors/blowers can be actuated/tested with a vag com. I sugest you spend few pounds on a quality interface and an old laptop and you can do the same things like your dealer but free ! See on the net for Vag-com(sharing sites !) version 312 as there are many passwords breakers/keygens for it to enable it to the fully registered/activated state. Then you all set and with a little help from us and some other sites(do your homework) you may get to tackle the problem yourself. Hope this helps.
