Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have the headlights come on when I lock/unlock my car? (I have a B6 1.8T)
My friend has a Mk V Golf and when he locks his car his headlights remain on for a while and then when he unlocks it, his headlights come on...
Not really a necessity, I just think it looks pretty cool!
Thanks

I don't think the 8E/B6 has any provision for that.

I am also interested in this and have a B6 1.8T, looks as if we will need a new light switch with the auto position on it and also a light sensor, not sure if is poss to retrofit and prog??
Look in your user book and you will see the light switch with the auto option....

When I do find it, i'll keep you posted mate.

Hi,
Thanks for that. I found the info for the A4 B6 which 'm looking for:
A1,0,Coming Home
A1,5,Coming Home
A2,6,Note: Only 8E0 907 279 E/F
A2,7,
A1,8,If the system is activated and it's dark
A1,9,fog lights/parking lights/taillights/lisence plate lights
A1,10,are switched on as soon as the drivers door is opened.
A1,11,
A1,12,Factory setting: 30 seconds
A1,13,Range: 30...60 seconds (increments 1 s)
I think the car has a light sensor (e.g. the instrument cluster brightens/darkens in response to sunlight during the day).
Is the adaption the same? i.e. Select 09 (Central Electronics)Coding -> Function 07 ?

So is your central electonics module actually part number 8E0 907 279 E or F? 'Cause the B6 we had as a test car from fall 2001 to fall 2003 did not support this feature...

Hi,
I'll scan the car again to get the part number. The car is a B6 september 2003. I guess that's fall 2003?
Cheers.
