sun roof

i just bought an audi 100q 5cyl. it is in great shape except for a leaking sun roof that disintegrated the head liner. i need help on figuring out how to repair the roof before getting a liner. impart knowledge please tks rb

There may not be anything wrong with the sunroof itself, the drains could be blocked? there are usually drain lines running from each corner. the front drains usually run down the 'a' pillars and empty into the back part of the front wing (if you remove the wheelarch liner you might find these)
The rear ones route down the c pillars, probably to the rear arches somewhere. Often these drains block with leaves and other debris, this can be 'rodded out' with a length of pushbike brake cable/net curtain wire
