A4 indicator problems cont....

Having changed the bulb to the front right indicator on my 03 a4, it is still coming up as a fault and not flashing.In the past I would simply change the flasher unit but I am not to sure how this all works with the audi.

I am guessing it involves the Dealer plugging in his diagnostic kit,solving the problem and printing an invoice for £60 all within the space of 3minutes.
A scenario I am keen to avoid.Any advice greatly appreciated.:beerchug:

Does the new bulb definately work
Have you checked for power at bulb holder
Checked fuses

just a thought, but there is actually a hazard light switch (inc relay) built into the switch. my a4 developed a problem where i couldnt indicate left or right and only the hazard lights worked. A number of ppl on this forum as well as an independant mechanic told me to get a hazard light switch from an audi main dealer. Cost around £33 inc vat, took around an hour to fit (as i wasnt going to rip off my wooden dash cover and break any tabs, so took my time). Simply plugged out the old, plugged in the new and all working now.
