Just bought a 2004 Highline tdi 130, fitted with a hands free phone kit which I would like to remove. Looks like it may be a VW item, has a housing which sits on the left of the central console, extends backwards under the glove compartment. Rear of this housing is simply fixed by one screw into side of the console, front appears to be fixed by a tongue which goes behind the fascia trim adjacent to ESP switch. The tongue doesn't want to slide out ( don't like to apply too much force) thought that if I can remove the ESP switch I may be able to see how it is fixed. But how does the ESP switch come out ?? Any info on this or any other suggestions for removing the phone kit will be much appreciated. Thanks.
