Hello,

I'm looking to retro fit an armrest to my A4.

The only site i've found so far is:
http://www.vagparts.com/pages/Armrest.htm

Has anyone done this before or have any advise?

Damian.

Hello Damian,
i retro fitted an armrest to my audi a4 a few months ago. It is an easy procedure. If you purchase an original audi armrest, the fitting instructions will be included.Buy from audi in the uk, alot cheaper than ireland. will cost about £150.

Yes, it is easy. The scary bit is cutting a hole in the centre console...
I used a VAG genuine part to do mine.

Hi folks, the two 'els' in particular, does the centre console have to be taken out to retrofit?

Cheers

I took it out so I could do the cutting outside the car. It's probably possible without removal, however, you do need to lift the console up to get access to the nuts/studs around the handbrake, which are used to mount the cast support bracket for the armrest. All the instructions came with the armrest kit. :beerchug:

you don't need to remove centre console, that would be a lot of work! if you remove the rear ashtray, you will have enough room to manoeuvre .

Just one thing to add... i have seen the OEM Armrest going on ebay for about £75 for the A4..

Keep your eyes open tho as theres a few non-standard ones..

Hi guys, i'm new on this forum, just got a 2002 A4 and am looking into installing an armrest.

I read your post and was looking for the part when i came across these guys :

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/VAGTEAM

They do an armrest for £20, which seems a little bit to cheap to be any good to me...

Has anyone used them, and knows if the stuff is any good ?

Cheers
