I have just purchased an '04 reg Audi A4 1.9tdi 115 Sport. Lovely car, 3rd Audi to own, very solid. However, after about 7 miles this morning a terrible squeak started - almost sounded like an electrical discharge(!) - behind the drivers dash area. It continued for about 6 miles then subsided. It was a very cold morning (-5) and I used the front windscreen clearing setting (controls set on "Hi"). I am assuming that it was ice formation in the heating/ventilation system which then melted as it has not happened before. Has anybody heard of this before?
