Hi, what are the best ways to get more power from a Corrado VR6? A friend of mine has just bought one and he wants to do what he can on a fairly tight budget.
Thanks

New cams, aftermarket air filter, cat back exhaust and a remap. Should free another 25-35 horses. If he spares more money, then he could get throttle boddies, new engine management, strengthenen conrods, Mahle forged pistons, polished and ported head or even ad a turbocharger or a supercharger. Its all been done before ! Remember to upgrade the brakes as well...I think he will be fairly happy with just a filter, exhaust and a remap as its not a slow car to start with...! Good luck.

Thanks mate, I've passed that on, his eyes lit up at the thought! His car's got around 130k on it but with FVWSH, it should still be able to handle the power increase, shouldn't it?

Mild increases yes, wild- i doubt it-anyway without major work of the internals.

Well with a bit of luck he won't blow it up, and you're right about them being quick, I was very surprised when I went out in it. Prefer my Golf though!
